The Ted Reeve Tornados organization is committed to ensuring consistency in player and team development initiatives to establish core skills and achievement at each level throughout the program. Our success is the understanding that we are here to make a difference in the lives of our youth. Our pride is our community, the people we represent on and off the ice. Our vision is to see that fair play ,fun and safety is our top priority in the way we lead our teams.

NEW EXECUTIVE

This year a new executive has been formed to oversee the operation of the Select program. It is made up of the following people:

Together, we have over 30 years of coaching in the Ted Reeve Hockey Association, coaching numerous teams in the House League and Select program. We are committed

to provide the community with a program that is both fun and educational for the players.

SELECT TEAMS

The Ted Reeve Tornados play in the North York Hockey League. It is made up of teams from around the GTA that offer Select ( All star ) programs for their respective House League organizations.

This year we will offer Select teams in Minor Novice to Midget depending on registration numbers per group, the Executive has the right to combine two age groups to make one team, in the higher age group ( ex. Minor atom to Atom ). Hopefully we won’t have to do this, but we will not really know numbers until registration is complete.

TRY OUTS

Try outs will commence the last weekend in September or the first weekend in October. Please keep checking the website for updates on the times and locations

of the try outs. Lists will also be posted at Ted Reeve Arena. There will be a fee (TBD) for each try out.

COST

This year the cost for playing on a Select team will be $600.

This will cover the following:

             Ice: approximately 22 practices and games

             Home and away sweaters and socks

             NYHL fees

FUNDRAISING

Fundraising will be a necessary part of the Tornados campaign, with hopes of raising enough funds to provide the players the following:

     2 tournaments ( in town )

     Names and on sweaters

     Pictures

     Year end awards party.

COACHING

We are looking for coaches that bring enthusiasm and innovation to the program. If interested please send a resume with any qualifications / certificates that you have and a brief outline of your philosophy of the game. Please indicate which team you would like to coach.
